    FORT OGLETHORPE, GA - MSGT Royce Pascal Leonard, retired, 89, died Wednesday, December 7, 2011, in a local hospital.

    He was a longtime resident of North Georgia and a member of Fort Oglethorpe First Baptist Church where he served as a former Deacon.

    Mr. Leonard was retired from the U.S. Army Air Force serving in World War II and the Korean War.

    He was a longtime employee of the Rossville Post Office and was a retired Postmaster for Trenton, GA. Mr. Leonard was a Mason and a Shriner.

    Survivors are his wife of 68 years, Leola Leonard; sons, Ronald P. Leonard, Chattanooga, TN, David Leonard, Ringgold, GA; daughter, Marketta (Jim) Howard, Ringgold, GA; sister, Carol Morgan, Hixson, TN; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

    Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel with Dr. John Wyatt officiating.

    Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors.

    The family will receive friends Sunday from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway, Fort Oglethrope, GA.

    Royce married Notie Leola Bartlett in 1943. Notie (daughter of Judge Porter Bartlett and Notie Lammons) was born on 3 Jun 1922 in Dale County, Alabama. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
