      Roger “Jim” James Lammons, 73, of Port Saint Joe, FL passed away on February 23, 2022.

      Funeral services with military honors will be held on 11:00 AM Thursday, March 3rd, 2022 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Reverend Dan Rogers officiating.

      Jim was born on October 6, 1948 in Hartford, AL to the late James H. Lammons and Marjorie A. Lammons. He was a veteran of the military, serving his country honorably as a U.S. Navy Seabee during the Vietnam War. After the military and his construction career, he continued to serve his country as a government contractor in Iraq and Afghanistan alongside the U.S. military. He was a faithful member of the River of Life church. Over the years he enjoyed fishing, hunting, Alabama football, NASCAR, and spending time with his family and devoted dog, Buddy. Most of all, he enjoyed spending quality time with his wife. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his grandson, Crawford Masters.

      He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Carol Justice Lammons of Port Saint Joe, FL; daughters Carrie Leffler (Paul) of Salem, AL; Kelly Dobbs (Wes) of Kempner, TX; Melissa Haymond (Tony) of Cusseta, GA; Melinda Masters (Kevin) of Acworth, GA; and sons James Lammons (Sharon) of Phenix City, AL. and Mark Jurgensen of Columbus, GA; grandchildren Taelor Dobbs, Tucker Dobbs, London Leffler, Jack Harris, Madison Harris, Sheridan Harris (Travis), Rachel Staples (Damon), Marlowe Harris, Jake Harris Jr. , Chandler Masters,Nicholas Masters, Olivia Masters, Jessica Jurgensen, Justice Jurgensen, Jacob Jurgensen, and Jaxon Jurgensen; great grandchildren, Lennon Corcione, Jack Harris Jr., Harris Collins,Melissa Staples, Kailyn Monsrud, Kinsley Monsrud, Kennedy Monsrud, Rain Monsrud, Korbyn Handand Karleigh Hand; extended family, church family, and many caring friends.
