OBITUARY:

Mary Margret Lammon, age 85, passed away peacefully at home May 15, 2017, with her family by her side. Mary was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and spent the first sixteen years of her life living in Arkansas. She then came to California, where she met the love of her life, Fred Lammon. Mary and Fred were happily married in 1947. Mary attended beauty college and became a licensed cosmetologist. She kept her license, and worked retail in her later years. She worked as an assistant manager for thirteen years. Mary worked until she was 72. Mary survived ovarian cancer in 2003. Her strong faith and love of the Lord carried her through. She raised her kids in a Godly home, and taught them the ways of the Lord. Mary loved to travel and embarked on many adventures with her family and friends. Mary Lammon is survived by her daughter, Sharon and her husband Ed Tracy, her daughter Cindy and her husband Dan Denham. Mary had five grandkids, Ben Hall, Jennifer Carroll, Ross Tracy, Aimee Tracy, and Charles Tracy. As well as six great grandkids. Mary is with Jesus now, reunited with her husband Fred Lammon, and her two sons James, and Freddie. They are all dancing on streets of gold! Service will be held on Sunday June 11th 5pm at Chapel of the Chimes 32992 Mission Blvd. Hayward, CA 94544 Reception will follow immediately after service

Mary married Eddie Foy Lammon on 28 Jun 1948 in Mount Ida, Montgomery County, Arkansas. Eddie (son of Freddie Franklin Lammon and Enoona Buffalow) was born on 2 Nov 1912 in Hartford, Geneva County, Alabama; died on 30 Oct 1993 in Hayward, Alameda County, California; was buried in Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, San Mateo County, California. Well I should tell you about my bother Freddie Franklin Lammon II. He was known for his building of go-carts, and mini bikes at the ages of about 11 to 16.. He would take and sell his prize mini bike, buy parts to build three or four more. Sell them and buy back his prize one and make money. He had one of the best looking and fastest go-carts ever. He later became a mechanic with my Dad.

He loved to fish, go frog gigging, camping and motorbikes. I guess you know by now, he too was a mechanic. He was on his way to work when he had the accident that caused his death. The tire blew. Two other people lost their lives - he never knew this. He lived two days and kept telling mom and dad to tell the two ladies he was sorry.
