  Family stories abound of him being a very fancy dresser, a former member of the Pensacola FL police department and bounder. He reportedly would come home from work, get dressed and then go down to the Zaragossa Street (Pensacola) bawdy houses and spend the days and nights. No information on whether my Grandmother and he were divorced (both were Catholics), why he left or where he came from. According to my sister Shirley Fields, my grandmother Blanche and my mother Lena once went to Philadelphia with him but my grandmother refused to stay and came home with my mother in tow.
