LOCATION: This cemetery is located in the Post Oak community northeast of Ozark, Alabama in Dale County and it is adjacent to the Post Oak United Methodist Church on the east side of the churchyard. Directions from Ozark to the Post Oak Methodist Church are: Turn north on North Union Avenue at the Dale County Court House in Ozark, North Union becomes State Road 123. Go 3.9 miles. Turn right on Dale County Road 50. Go .5 miles and the church building and cemetery are on the right.
HISTORY: This cemetery was started as a community burying ground as best as I can determine about 1850-60 timeframe. The older graves that I could find are in the 1870s and there are unmarked graves that are older.
